Step #1

Picture #1: As promised, here is the first step of my drawing: layout. I've got the basics of the picture in, such as my head, arm, mug, and leech...erm, ferret. You can see I used a circle to place the head, then I defined the muzzle a bit to add emotion to the layout. The arm next, and the mug. Since the hand is usually the hardest part of the picture, I went ahead and drew THAT in detail while I still have the patience, looking off of my own hand, drawing, and posing my hand again. Finally, I drew in the evil little monster that's trying to take my coffee, to top it off! (Isn't she so cute? Well, I'll leave that for you to decide once you see more than her sketchy outline...)
