Picture #3: NEVER INK WITH LOW BLOOD SUGAR!!! Okay, now with that said... I finally discovered the secrets of using brush pens! I've been computer-coloring a lot lately with my pressure-sensitive Wacom tablet, and although I used Adobe Illustrator for the "inking" on those, I used the pressure sensitivity to color in the pictures in Paint Shop. Having to control the Wacom pen to color inside the lines and fill in small places without changing the brush size got me used to regulating the pressure when drawing. So here is my inked line art, done with a Faber-Castell PITT artist brush pen. You can see the varied line widths, which give the picture character and interest. (See, I DID learn something from art school!) I haven't filled in the stripes yet, and the pencil lines are still there, but we'll get there soon. |
